Games

  • Two separate groups meet on different days to play Duplicate Bridge and Party Bridge

Hobbies

Outdoors

  • Walks twice a month in many city and regional areas including historical neighborhoods, parks, malls, trails, and cultural localities. Some include guided commentary related to the vicinity.

  • Summer league (11 weeks) meets weekly starting in May. Informal spring and fall activities are organized weekly weather-permitting.

  • Year-around hiking/snowshoeing group dedicated to getting out into the beautiful woods and grasslands in and around the Twin Cities. Treks are twice monthly , 5-6 miles, often on unpaved trails. Days and times vary depending on weather.

  • Biking 15-20 miles on trails in the Twin Cities and surrounding area from early spring to late fall weather-permitting. All ability levels and types of bicycles are welcome.

Urban Outing

  • Stay in touch with friends and get acquainted with new ones.
    Location changes monthly

  • Experience unique and distinct dining venues: casual, formal, ethnic, and old favorites while getting to know other members of New Sociables.

  • Try new restaurants and become acquainted with New Sociables members after each monthly meeting.

  • A variety of activities primarily presented by our high schools in the south metro - theatrical, musical, speech. Excitement brews with each coming activity celebrating the talents of our youth.

Adventure

Community Service

  • We enjoy reading and together we choose books the year. Monthly we gather for a lively exchange of ideas about the current book. We also gather for lunch and socializing prior to each meeting.

  • Informal gathering during which members share and continue to work on arts, crafts and handiwork along with potluck lunch and socialization.

  • Great food and conversation on the 4th Wednesday in a member’s home. Themed gathering where each brings a dish to share along with the recipe.

  • Enjoy learning historical, artistic and cultural background of Twin Cities locations as well as regional destinations.

  • Traveling is amazing! Every destination - near or far - offers fun, friendship, learning, and memories. Travel with like-minded women and discover the gems of our country.

  • HeART SPEAKS recognizes that life is enriched and nourished by art. Join opportunities to appreciate and maybe even create artistic experiences: textile, glass, cuisine, paint, ink.

  • Wide variety of activities scheduled more spontaneously by members looking for like-minded women who would be interested in the event.

  • Pack meals specifically formulated for malnourished children throughout the world.

  • Donate specific items to Lewis House which provide housing and assistance to individuals and families escaping domestic or sexual violence

  • Open Door is dedicated to ending local hunger through access to healthy food. Donate paper bags, egg cartons and reusable cloth shopping bags at each monthly meeting.
